Discovery

Plan Objectives:

  • Build trust and rapport with the client

  • Explore personal history with addiction

  • Identify core values, motivations, and readiness for change

  • Discuss the impact of addiction on various areas of life (health, relationships, work)

  • Introduce the concept of recovery and what coaching can offer

  • Assess current needs and create a recovery readiness plan

Direction

Plan Objectives:

  • Define short- and long-term recovery goals

  • Develop a personalized recovery action plan

  • Introduce or refine coping strategies for cravings, triggers, and relapse prevention

  • Establish daily/weekly structure and routines

  • Support relationship rebuilding and communication skills

  • Identify support systems and connect to external resources (e.g. therapy, 12-step, fitness, nutrition)
